abacusParts was a research project and series of workshops which led to a number of performance events. Conceived, produced, directed and designed by Romy Achituv and Danielle Wilde, abacusParts took place in New York City from October 1997 through January 1999. collaborators: Bosmat Alon (dreams), Alison Bradley (stills photography), Robert Catalano (sound design - face clamps), Matt Dacy (lighting design - counting laps), Christine Doempke (performance), Charlotte Griffin (performance), Yasmeen Godder (performance), Orit Kruglanski (production assistant; master debugger - boxes), Merrianne Moore (performance - counting laps), Wei Dong (production assistant - counting laps) and Bruno Vianna (electronic circuit design - boxes) supporters: Kim Bistrong, The Field, Materials for the Arts, Kampo Cultural Center, Gowanus Arts Exchange, The Greenwall Foundation, Galapagus Art and Performance Space, The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and a number of other very generous individuals. |
